Man nabbed for fake money
A man wanted to GoWest! but ended up going to jail instead.

A GoWest! music concert ticket led to a 25-year-old man also going west … to the nearest jail cell that is.
On Saturday, 24 September a woman bought a concert ticket at a shopping mall. After checking the R200 note the woman had used to buy the ticket the cashier realised that it was fake and called her manager as well as security.
The woman was stopped and as she was about to be arrested, someone came to her defence. A 25-year-old man told the police that he had sent her to the mall to buy the ticket and claimed responsibility of the fake R200 note.
The man was arrested and the woman released, and he was detained at the Kagiso Police Station on charges of fraud. He appeared in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 26 September and was released on a warning. He will appear again at a later date.
Kagiso Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya told the News that it is unclear whether the suspect and the woman he had sent to buy him the ticket were related.
