Aggressive Mindalore robber convicted

The victims were then tied up and Mbuli would strip belongings from their person as well.

David Mbuli was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery recently after he had robbed homeowners of property worth R450 000.

Mbuli committed these crimes in December 2015 and February 2016. During both crimes he and his accomplice would point a firearm at the homeowners and demand household goods. The victims were then tied up and Mbuli would strip belongings from their person as well.

In both cases Mbuli and his accomplice stole the victims’ vehicle and fled the scene in it.

Mbuli was arrested soon after these crimes and linked to both cases.

He was convicted in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court by Magistrate Keith Page and will serve a 26-year sentence for aggravated robbery.

The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Holding worked hard to ensure justice was brought to the affected families. Brigadier Baloyi, Krugersdorp Police station commander assured the community that he has well-trained officers who go the extra mile to serve and protect.

“May he continue to do his work with utmost pride and dedication,” Baloyi said.
