Police arrest interfering shop owners

“Anyone who thinks they are able to interfere, must think twice because we will not hesitate to put people behind bars if they undermine our authority.”

Two suspects were arrested for interfering with a police investigation on Tuesday morning 4 October. They unlawfully obstructed police who were trying to conduct a search in a shop in Tshepisong Extension 5.

The suspects, aged 29 and 32, allegedly expressed arrogance toward police while denying them entry to their shop. They were arrested immediately for interfering with police investigations.

The suspects will briefly appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court soon.

“We will not be intimidated by anyone,” Brigadier Sipho Ngubane, Kagiso Police station commander said.

“We will perform our mandatory duties. Anyone who thinks they are able to interfere, must think twice because we will not hesitate to put the suspect behind bars if they undermine our authority.”

Kagiso Police investigated leads on the scene.
