West Rand Police cluster arrested 347 people during the past week.
Among the most significant arrests were of two suspects who were allegedly involved in a business robbery in Key West Shopping Centre.

In Hekpoort two suspects were arrested for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. Suspects were also arrested for serious crimes such as robbery, murder, theft and assault. The aggressive cyclist who allegedly attacked a couple in Muldersdrift was also arrested.

Three hijackers were arrested for being in possession of a stolen Mercedes-Benz.

Some suspects were arrested for less serious offences such as illegal mining, contravention of the Liquor Act and crossing railway lines.
Brigadier Sipho Ngubane, acting West Rand Cluster commander expressed his appreciation towards members of the cluster.
“Your dedication and perseverance in apprehending suspects are impressive,” Ngubane said.
“Everyone who affected an arrest in the past week is applaud. In this cluster we leave nothing to chance, we investigate properly and bring suspects to book.”
