Panga wielding robbers meet their match
Two amateur robbers broke in, and when the owner fought back, not even their pangas could help them.
A pair of inexperienced robbers recently met their match, and not even their pangas could help them.
The two suspects broke into a Kagiso house armed with pangas in September – and the owner of the house fought back. He pounced on them and a struggle ensued.
Realising that their robbery plans would not be successful, the suspects fled on foot. After all the trouble they’d gone through to break into the house, all they made off with was a cellphone belonging to the complainant’s wife and a pair of gloves.
The Kagiso Police launched an investigation, received a tip-off about the suspects’ whereabouts and promptly nabbed them. On Friday, 14 October, the panga-wielding robbers were arrested on charges of house robbery.
The two men, aged 27 and 33 respectively, appeared in court on 17 October, and were denied bail.
