Suspects arrested for buying stolen property
"This should be a warning to members of the community who buy stolen property that they will be charged."
The Krugersdorp Police have issued an official warning, stating that any person found in possession of stolen property will be charged with a criminal offence.
This follows after police arrested two suspects who were allegedly found in possession of stolen items which they claimed they had bought.

The West Rand Trio task team investigated the claim, which led them to arrest five other individuals who were believed to be house robbers.
The five suspects allegedly stole electronic equipment, alcohol and a vehicle from a house in Mindalore and later sold these items to the other two suspects.
After an intense investigation, the task team arrested all the suspects in Bekkersdal on 19 October and recovered most of the stolen goods from their homes.

“This should be a warning to members of the community who buy stolen property that they will be charged,” said Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, the Krugersdorp Police spokesperson.
However, some of the recovered goods do not belong to the complainant from Mindalore and police have asked the community to help identify and claim the items.

These items include cameras, cellphones, watches, a GoPro, a car battery charger and electrical tools.
“Community members who can identify the property in the attached pictures must please come to the police,” said Mashale.
If any of these items belong to you, please contact the Krugersdorp Police on 011 951 1151.
