Accused flees as police discover drugs
"Drug dealers who think they have found a home in Krugersdorp must consider moving with immediate effect."
On Wednesday, 4 January, a number of Krugersdorp Police detectives went to Krugersdorp West to summons a suspect to appear in court. The suspect was to appear on drug charges.
Upon arrival at his home, the detectives were surprised to find the suspect’s shack door wide open and the floor covered with small plastic bags containing drugs.
As they continued searching for the suspect, they realised he’d seen them coming, and run away, leaving his illegal substances behind.
Brigadier Baloyi, Krugersdorp Police station commander applauded the detectives for recovering the drugs.
“Drugs dealers who think they have found a home in Krugersdorp must consider moving with immediate effect since they will have to face the full force of the law,” Baloyi said.
Krugersdorp Police are continuing their investigation and said arrests should follow soon.
