The Krugersdorp Police are urgently asking the public to assist them in tracing a suspect after he raped and assaulted a woman on New Year’s Day in Munsiville.
It is believed the victim sustained serious injuries after the suspect assaulted her with an unknown object in Mayibuye that day. He then proceeded to rape her twice. Luckily, he used a condom.
Details of the heinous crime were not made public by police due to the sensitivity of the matter.
The man is described as having a coffee-coloured complexion and wore his hair in dreadlocks. He is approximately 1,68m tall and is between the ages of 30 and 35. He had a medium build and was wearing a blue striped T-shirt. He spoke Tswana while talking to the victim. He allegedly had a knife and a pistol in his possession.
Any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect can be forwarded to Sergeant Coetzee, the investigating officer handling the matter. The Sergeant can be reached on 076 672 1375.
