KTS pupils showcase their art talents

The teachers get to experience their talents first-hand.

Art is a way to showcase your feelings, emotions and pride.

Recently learners from Grade 1 to Grade 3 were given the opportunity to showcase, exhibit and demonstrate the talents that were bestowed upon them.

The Life Skills Team from the Gauteng District made sure that all the children were eager to celebrate their talents by hosting an art competition. Two children from Krugersdorp Town Primary School became circuit and district winners in their category.

For Rhandzu Bodiba, art is in his blood. He told the News that no one showed him how to draw, he just started drawing when he was little. He received the prize for overall circuit and district winner for his animal drawing.

“My parents are very happy and very proud of me,” Rhandzu said.

Letlhogonolo Selato was the circuit winner with her family drawing. She told the News her brother showed her how to draw and she wants to become an artist one day.

“I make drawings every day,” said Letlhogonolo.

The school is very proud of its learners and encourages them to use their talents. The principal, Wilna Bester, feels blessed to see their talents come to life and experience them first-hand.
