One critical, one stable in crash at major intersection
Emergency service personnel found debris scattered over a large area of the road and the twisted frames of the vehicles stationary in the middle of the intersection.
One person sustained life-threatening injuries and another sustained minor injuries when their vehicles collided at the intersection of Paardekraal Drive and Commissioner Street in Krugersdorp on Saturday evening, 11 February at about 9.16pm.

It is believed both drivers entered the intersection at the same time, which caused one vehicle to crash into the side of the other one.
Netcare 911 paramedics, provincial paramedics and the fire department responded to reports of the collision and arrived on scene moments later. Emergency service personnel found debris scattered over a large area of the road and the twisted frames of the vehicles stationary in the middle of the intersection.

They found two people with injuries. The critically injured patient was stabilised and transported to hospital by provincial services while the person who sustained minor injuries was transported to hospital by a private service. The cause of the collision will be investigated by the police.
