Sixty people escape uninjured in pile-up collision on Luipaard Street

Exact details as to the cause of the crash are not yet known.

Just before 7pm on Friday evening (12 May), Netcare 911 paramedics were called out to a scene on Luipaard Street in Krugersdorp.

They found that a bus, taxi and bakkie had collided, causing a rear-end pile-up.

It was found that seven people sustained minor injuries and 60 passengers of the bus escaped unharmed. Paramedics then transported the injured patients to local hospitals for the care they required.

In January the News reported about a collision between a truck and taxi on the same road in which eight people died.

It was also wet and slippery.

Police are investigating the exact details as to the cause of the crash and preceding events.
