Protesting in Kagiso, be safe!

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

The community of Leratong Village embarked on a service delivery protest at about 6pm on the evening of 16 May.

The protesters barricaded both Impala and Albertina Sisulu Roads with burning tyres and rocks.

It is alleged the community is complaining about the lack of electricity and proper infrastructure. No incidents of violence or damage to property have been reported thus far.

Kagiso police are monitoring the situation as protesting is still ongoing. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
