[FOLLOW UP] Local beauty brings home Miss Teen World title

The highlight of her journey was when she learnt how to speak Russian.

Modelling has given a Krugersdorp beauty the opportunity to make a positive impact locally and across the world.

Shikirah Roth, a matric learner from Krugersdorp High School, was recently crowned as Miss Teen World and received the Jnr Top Model of the Universe award too. The special event was held in Turkey and was hosted by the president of the World League of Fashion and Beauty, Ashot Khachatryan. The last time a South African took home this title was in 2010 when Tayla Robinson won.

Shikirah described the journey as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She also said that it was loads of fun and that she got to do things she never thought of doing.

The highlight of her journey was when she learnt to speak Russian and that she made new friends from all across the world.

“I couldn’t have done it without the support of my parents, followers and Pageants South Africa,” said Shikirah.

The proud representative of not only her community, but the world.

She thanks the following who made her journey possible: Help24, Ashron Pre-Primary, HMC Modelling School and Romanelli Designs.

The best is yet to come for Shikirah as she plans to make waves not only in the modelling industry, but with other projects as well.
