St Ursula encourages rest of community to also open their hearts

They decided to use their money to buy some much-needed groceries and toiletries for a local orphanage in need.

St Ursula’s school motto, ‘Serviam’ is one which they take very seriously.

‘Serviam’ means ‘to serve’ and the school encourages its learners to do just that by running little project days every second week. Each grade has a turn to sell something to the rest of the school to raise money.

The school recently heard about a call for help from the community for The Bethany House Trust, a local orphanage. Their social grant has been suspended and they are in dire need of any donations.

St Ursula’s Primary School then decided to use their Serviam money to buy some much-needed groceries and toiletries which they recently delivered to the organisation.

The school encourages other organisations to also open their hearts and support this worthy cause.
