Local clinic gets new coat
Various volunteers not only assisted in the painting process, but also served the waiting patients with some bread and soup.
In celebration of Nelson Mandela’s legacy, the Jan Mare Clinic in Krugersdorp West received a brand new coat of paint when Pierre Martins, Director at Component Africa and Neels Basson, owner of Krugersdorp Paint Centre sponsored some paint, labour and time.

During this event Tabo Mpe, chairperson of the clinic, Whitey Moleba, Ward 26 DA councillor and Trudie Naudé, Ward 38 councillor were seen, armed with paintbrushes and smiles.
Various volunteers from the Mug and Tree Community Care Centre and Westcol College not only assisted in the painting process, but also served the waiting patients with some bread and soup.

Tabo went on to explain that this is the final component of the clinic’s revamping process as the bathroom, ceiling and additional areas has already been revamped.
“Considering the clinic committee has only existed for two months, they are really doing a great job. Leadership isn’t about opposition, it’s about taking action and service delivery,” he said.

Trudie also mentioned their next aim, which is to set up a shelter outside to ease the waiting process for the patients as extremely hot or cold weather conditions can be challenging at times.
“We are more than thrilled to be able to give back to the community and this in honour of Madiba’s legacy. It’s truly amazing,” Trudie concluded.
