[UPDATE] Water starting to flow again
By midday most suburbs should have running water again.
There is good news for residents who are sitting with their hands in their (dirty) hair this morning.
Most of the areas (Boltonia, Krugersdorp West, Burgershoop, Quellerie Park, Krugersdorp North, Dan Pienaarville and Munsieville) affected by Sunday’s water outage will start to see water flowing from their taps again during the course of the day.

Ward Councillor Trudie Naudé said that after the repairs to the burst pipe were completed last night, the valves were opened, section by section.
“We need to remember that each section needs to be opened and monitored closely. Not all the valves can be opened at once because it might just cause the pipe to burst again due to the high pressure.”
This morning Trudie said that she is happy to report that everything seems to be running smoothly and that by midday all the suburbs affected should have running water again.
“I would like to thank the workers for doing an amazing job in the cold and wet conditions of this situation and the community who stood together to make sure that the most vulnerable received water.”
