Charlie Coetzer, the father, recently lost his job as a truck driver and the family is struggling to buy food too.
“We are living with our son-in-law, but there are so many people in the house that fights break out every day,” said Julyhanna, Charlie’s wife. “There’s about 16 people living on the property, nine of whom are in the cottage we live in currently.”
Charlie’s Angels, a charity in Burgershoop, has been helping the family to stay on their feet. Hilda Loftus, one of the helpers at the charity, said they helped because they cannot ignore what they see.

“We’re helping where we can, but it’s difficult as we cannot take this family in ourselves,” said Hilda.
The children are still in school and it’s becoming ever more difficult for them to do their homework in a quiet environment.

“These are incredibly difficult times and we as a nation need to stand together and help those whom we can,” said Hilda.
The family needs any place to stay. A cottage, a house or even just a room would help them incredibly.
