Major drug bust in town thanks to great police and community relationship
Police found 162 Mandrax tablets, two Ziploc-type plastic bags containing Crystal Meth, and 48 other plastic packets containing powder suspected to be Mandrax or other narcotics.
Despite previous confrontations and unrest caused by residents of Munsieville and Kagiso expressing their dissatisfaction, anger and frustration about some police members allegedly colluding with foreign drug dealers, a new hope is beginning to dawn.

Most of the arrests related to illegal drugs dealings are as a result of positive information or tip-offs received from the public. Krugersdorp and Kagiso Police are making progress with regard to improved relationships with their communities.
Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for Kagiso Police reported that on Monday, 2 April at about 2.30pm, Kagiso Crime Prevention, working in a joint operation with the West Rand K9s, got a tip-off about a house at Zulujump from which hard-core drugs were being sold.
“Our members acted swiftly on the information and pounced on a number of suspects aged between 25 and 36, among them a woman,” said Sibiya.
They were found in possession of 162 Mandrax tablets, two Ziploc-type plastic bags containing Crystal Meth, and 48 other plastic packets containing powder suspected to be Mandrax or other narcotics. Small amounts of cash were also confiscated as proceeds from illegal dealing.
The suspects have been detained at Kagiso Police Station where a case docket of dealing in drugs was opened. They are expected to appear briefly in court soon.
