Police corner suspects before they robbed a store

During investigations, the police noticed the suspects’ getaway vehicle parked outside the shopping complex.

Kagiso Police cornered and arrested four suspects carrying implements to use for committing a robbery on Tuesday, 17 April at a shopping complex in Chamdor.

The crime prevention members were patrolling the area when they received a complaint about a business burglary at a shopping complex in Chamdor. They responded swiftly, and upon arrival, found four suspects. They conducted body searches and found two crow-bars, a pair of white gloves and four cable ties in their possession.

During investigations, the police noticed the suspects’ getaway vehicle parked outside the shopping complex. It was impounded and is being kept at the police store for further investigation.

All four suspects were later detained at the Kagiso Police Station, where a case docket of possession of house-breaking implements was registered.

The Kagiso Police have been particularly concerned about business burglaries in Chamdor for the past two weeks and have thus increased visibility to curb this kind of crime.

The suspects will soon appear briefly in court.
