Security guard steals from shop he vowed to protect
A member of a local security company found the hardware tools inside the bag of the security guard working at the store.
On Sunday, 22 April, at approximately 6pm, a 25-year-old male suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property belonging to Mica Hardware in Hekpoort.
A member of Oestermoed Security allegedly found tools belonging to the store in the bag of the security guard who was working there.

Constable Gloria Maswanganye, spokesperson for Hekpoort Police, said the manager of the shop was summoned to identify the goods, and he confirmed that they belong to Mica Hardware.
“The suspect was arrested and handed over to the Hekpoort Police,” said Gloria.
Captain MT Zwane, station commander at Hekpoort, applauded Oestermoed Security for their partnership with the police in fighting crime and respecting the law, and for not taking the law into their own hands.
The man has already appeared in court and investigations are continuing.
