Missing man’s body found in Muldersdrift
His body was badly decomposed and wrapped in a carpet.
A man who had been missing for more than a month, was found dead in Muldersdrift on Thursday, 19 April.
A passer-by discovered the body wrapped in a carpet on Clinic Road at about 6.30pm that day and notified the police.

Drift Reaction, a local security company reported that the person who discovered the body was a motorist who had stopped at the side of the road to relieve himself.

Constable Gloria Maswanganye, spokesperson for the West Rand Cluster Police said the man who found the body noticed a strange looking parcel with an extremely foul odour.
“Investigations revealed that the deceased man was reported missing from Randburg on 17 March,” she said.
“His clothes and shoes matched the description of the 42-year-old. Police are awaiting DNA results to conclusively link the body to the missing person and determine the cause of his death.”
Police are requesting members of the community to assist with any information that may lead to the conclusion of the investigation.
