Gambler arrested for having pistol with live rounds at a tavern
The gun was a 9mm pistol, the serial number was filled off, and it contained live rounds.
Tarlton police arrested a 27-year-old man on Sunday, 20 May at about 7pm after he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
This arrest was executed after the police acted on a tip-off that led them to a group of males who were found gambling next to a tavern.

Constable Lucky Matome, spokesperson for the Tarlton Police, said all the gamblers were searched and a 9mm pistol (serial number filled off) with nine live rounds of ammunition was allegedly found in the possession of one of them. He was arrested immediately.
“The arrest affirms the safety of the residents of Tarlton and the authority of the State. Such firearms and suspects must be continuously reported to the authorities,” said Matome.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
Lieutenant Colonel Tsoaedi, commander of Tarlton Police Station, expressed her satisfaction with the manner in which the community of Tarlton is working with the police.
“The relationship between the police and the community is very important as it does not give criminals room to operate,” said Tsoaedi.
