Suspect throws boiling water over family member
The victim's uncle became infuriated when his nephew asked his gran for R50.
Kagiso Police are searching for the man who allegedly threw boiling water over his nephew on Friday, 8 June.
The complainant said that at 8am that morning, he was at his residence with his family and had asked his grandmother for R50. She referred him to his uncle as she had given her cash to him for safe-keeping.
When the complainant tried to approach his uncle, (the suspect), the uncle became angry and went to the kitchen where he fetched a kettle containing boiling water.

The suspect then poured the boiling water over the complainant who was later rushed to a local hospital with injuries to his neck and left shoulder.
The matter was reported to the Kagiso Police Station where a case docket of assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm was registered. The police are expecting to make an arrest soon.
