[BREAKING NEWS] Local police pull body from a hole

They believe the body has been in the hole for more than four months as it's badly decomposed.

Krugersdorp Police, accompanied by other emergency services personnel, discovered a body in a deep hole near the R28 between Uncle Harry’s Road House and West Rand Cons yesterday, 19 June, and have been struggling to retrieve it ever since.

A police informant who was on scene this morning, 20 June, told the News they had recovered the body which had been dead for more than four months.

“We noticed there was mining equipment, including a backpack, rope and mining tools on the body, and thus suspect the deceased could have been an illegal miner,” the informant told the News.

It’s reported the hole in which he was found is close to 20 metres deep, and it appears that the deceased was trying to mine inside it.
