Body found floating in Coronation Dam

The body was discovered by a local municipality employee.

Local police are investigating a bizarre case at the Coronation Dam after a body was discovered yesterday, 4 July just before 9pm.

The body was allegedly discovered by a local municipality employee who said it was floating in the dam. Police divers were called to the scene and they retrieved the body.

“Further investigation revealed that it was the body an of unknown female. The deceased was wearing black boots, a brown skirt and a light-blue jersey,” local police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashele said.

The cause of death is still unknown but authorities are investigating the matter.
