[BREAKING NEWS] Protest action in Chamdor, Kagiso and Azaadville – AVOID

Here are the roads to avoid:

Emergency service personnel have warned motorists to stay away from the roads into and out of Kagiso in all directions, as protesters have blocked them with burning tyres and debris.

The roads affected include the R41 from Roodepoort and Randfontein near Azaadville, and Adcock Street coming from Chamdor. Geba Street in Kagiso is also dangerous to drive on as various reports of vehicles being stoned have been received.

The reason behind the protest has not yet been confirmed, although many believe it has to do with the total shutdown reported on by the News’ sister publication, the Randfontein Herald.
