Man shot in the head during Lanseria farm attack

They were in bed sleeping when the suspects entered through their bedroom window.

A man was shot early on Sunday morning, 22 July after intruders entered his house on his farm in Lanseria.

When paramedics arrived on the scene of the incident at about 1am that morning, they found the man lying next to his wife with blood seeping from his wounds. Reports indicate that he was shot in his head, but survived.

ER24 paramedics treated the critically wounded man and airlifted him to a private hospital in Johannesburg for urgent medical care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

However, there are reports that the man and his wife were in their bed sleeping when armed intruders entered through the bedroom window and demanded they open the door. When the homeowner opened the door, one of the attackers shot him in the head.
