Oldest resident of Reitvallei receives her title deed
She is part of the beneficiaries of the provincial government’s Thuma Mina Title Deeds programme.
Masefrapi Sanna Molefe, 102, could not contain her joy when the Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) and Human Settlements, Dikgang Uhuru Moiloa, visited her home and presented her with her much-awaited title deed.
Molefe is one of the beneficiaries of the provincial government’s Thuma Mina Title Deeds programme through which the Office of the Premier together with municipalities are tasked with the responsibility of handing over title deeds to deserving beneficiaries.
The frail Molefe said she waited patiently for her title deed, and as the years went by, she never thought this day would ever come.
Moiloa together with his team of Mogale City and West Rand District Municipality councillors were on a day-long provincial government mission to hand over title deeds to the residents of Rietvallei 2 and 3 when they visited the Molefes.
At the main event, for which a huge tent had been erected, Moiloa said the provincial government has an on-going programme of handing over title deeds, and those who did not receive theirs will be considered for their future visits. Moiloa handed over 420 title deeds to the residents that day.
The City’s Executive Mayor, Naga Patrick Lipudi, together with Maanda Raedani, the Municipal Manager and councillors, recently visited Sinqobile, near Kagiso Hostel, and handed over 200 title deeds.
