UniCollege supports international health month with Mrs Africa Globe Classic

That's why they invited Mrs Africa Globe Classic 2017, Adele Wotherspoon, to share information on breast cancer.

October was the annual international health month to create awareness of breast cancer and to raise funds for research into causes, treatments and the prevention of the disease.

This is why UniCollege invited Mrs Africa Globe Classic 2017, Adele Wotherspoon, to share information on breast cancer and create awareness with the intention of educating students about the importance of early screening and testing.

Adele is also a Top 3 Finalist in the Humanitarian of the Year Award and the students had in-depth discussions with her on the topic. She encouraged students to make health their priority and gave some pointers on what is normal for their bodies and how to self-examine.

UniCollege strongly supports initiatives such as Breast Cancer Awareness as the college deems topics of this nature important to empower the boys and girls with knowledge regarding lowering their risk of cancer or other health risks they might be facing.

The college encouraged students to peruse the health awareness materials and to visit clinics that are able to screen for breast and cervical cancer as well as diseases such as skin cancer and other cancer types.
