Lightning-fast internet? Yes, please!
Evotel is able to provide speeds of up to 1Gbps.

The internet is no longer a ‘nice to have’, but a ‘need to have’. In a sense, it has become a utility such as electricity and water. We need access to internet banking, social media, entertainment sites, cloud-based storage, and much, much more. That’s where Evotel comes in.
Evotel is an open access fibre network service provider that provides lightning-fast internet to homes and complexes throughout South Africa.

Okay, so what is fibre?
In short, fibre is the fastest and most reliable internet available in South Africa. Fibre Optic technology transmits data in the form of light. The difference in performance between Fibre’s glass cables and its predecessors (ADSL) copper cables is that it is transmitted over MUCH longer distances compared to copper and at a MUCH higher speed. Evotel is able to provide speeds of up to 1Gbps.
No end-user installation fee
Unlike many other network providers, Evotel do not charge end-users any installation fee. Depending on which ISP (Internet Service Provider) a resident chooses, they may charge a small activation fee. The ISPs that form part of their network offer affordable month-to-month uncapped packages to suit every customer’s needs.
Evotel fibre network is future proof. It allows for the use of various services which will benefit your community, such as security, communication and fast internet breakout.
Want fibre in your area?
Residents may begin noticing some of Evotel’s friendly sales reps engaging with homeowners in their given areas, and once enough residents show interest, Evotel can proceed with the fibre network roll-out in that specific area. If you would like to express interest in fibre to the home internet connectivity, visit www.evotel.co.za for more information.

What is an open access network?
It is a network over which any ISP can provide services without impacting the speed or experience of the rest of the users on the network. This gives the end-users much more freedom to choose a package suitable to their needs, and the competition promotes lower prices.
Can you keep your existing landline number?
Yes the ISPs offer VOIP (voice over IP) services and are able to port your existing landline number onto the fibre connection, meaning you can cancel your copper line rental. Also, VOIP calls are usually a fraction of the price of existing landline calls.
