You can download an app which sends you notifications for when your power will be off so you can prepare for a powerless evening long before you get home from work.
Eskom has announced that load-shedding will once again become a reality in the lives of South Africans and has already posted schedules for when power will be off.
To make life easier, an application called Load Shedding Notifier has been developed. The application is simple – just type in the name of the municipality and area you live in and it shows you when power will be off in your city.
To download the application, visit your app store/ Google Play Store and look for the “Load Shedding Notifier” application with the green and yellow thunder-bolt logo.
