[WATCH] #FunnyFriday – He’s man’s best friend and justs wants to play

Not all dogs can be trained to be extra special working dogs, some dogs just have another reason for being.

During January, we had a lot to do with the animals of Krugersdorp, with so many sad stories, but there were also many happy ones.

During these past few weeks, News journalist Natasha Pretorius was able to meet with a woman who has made it her life’s mission to feed and protect cats.

She also spoke to a woman who was chosen as the Animal Hero of the Year because of her love for all animals and her tireless efforts to help them.

She interviewed a K9 Search and Rescue officer who, with the help of his K9 friend, goes out every day to make sure we are protected and that criminals land behind bars.

She visited a local shelter where a woman would rather see a donkey get better then choose to end his life.

“As I walk into a local woman’s yard, a small brown dog peeks around the corner. It’s a street dog that she has taken in to love. But still, every day, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals adds another sad and unbelievable story to their Facebook page,” Natasha said.

“Two more people got caught dumping cats at a local shelter – two teenage cats and what might be their mother, pregnant again.”

But one thing all the people she met have in common is their love for animals, their mission to love, protect and support these animals. And the thing they will all agree on is that if you love your animal you will make sure it is spayed or neutered.

“Let us love our animals, because they can bring so much joy to our lives – more than we can ever imagine. Here is a video of a dog who was supposed to be a working dog but turned out to be a free spirit that just wanted to bring happiness to those around him. I hope you enjoy him as much as I did.”
