#HoërskoolDriehoek — Community invited to come pray for Hoekies tragedy
Everyone in the community is invited to come and pray for those affected by the Hoërskool Driehoek tragedy.
For the past week, our nation has been in mourning. All over the country, schools, organisations and communities have fallen to their knees to pray for the Hoërskool Driehoek family.
Four children lost their lives and many others were injured when a walkway bridge collapsed on 1 February.
The Krugersdorp community wants to show its support by holding a vigil on Friday, 15 February at Krugersdorp High School (KHS).
The event will be held at 8pm and everyone attending is asked to please bring along a candle.
Sharday van den Berg, operations coordinator for the Sector 4 Community Policing Forum (CPF) and also one of the event organisers, asked that people not bring flowers on Friday as these will wilt before getting to the Driehoek school.
“If you want to contribute, you can do so with an EFT,” she explained. There will also be donation tins at the vigil if people want to donate money.
They want the whole community to come join them in praying for the children, families, school staff and communities affected by this tragedy.
If you would like to donate, please make use of the following bank account: Nedbank, Westgate, account number 298 319 0625, branch code 198341, with the reference: Driehoek.
