Robert Broom crash leaves motorcyclist in a serious condition

An accident between a motorcyclist and a car has left one person seriously injured.

A scooter driver sustained serious injuries on Robert Broom Drive yesterday morning, 20 February.

According to a statement by Shaun Herbst from Netcare 911, they were called out to a collision between a scooter and a car at 7.42am.

The accident occurred on the corner of Van Riebeeck Road and Robert Broom Drive, in Munsieville.

Herbst said the man riding the scooter sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene by an Advanced Life Support paramedic.

Netcare 911 paramedics were on scene.

“Once stabilised, the patient was transported to hospital for further treatment,” he added.
