Self-defence Workshop

23 FEBRUARY — Alicia Potgieter, a Miss Regal International South Africa 2019 finalist, is supporting and hosting a self-defence workshop in aid of People Opposing Women Abuse (Powa) at Key West Shopping Centre from 10am. This is a fun event for the whole family and only costs R5 to enter. All funds will be donated to Powa. What can you expect? Learning self-defence from Sensei Daniel, a 6th Dan, you will learn what to do when you are a victim of abuse, and motivational speakers will help empower you. Hike the Koppies

Join a three-hour, or 8km, hike through the Melville Koppies.

24 FEBRUARY — Join a three-hour, or 8km, hike through the Melville Koppies. The tour sets off at 8.30am sharp. Park in the upper parking area at Marks Park on Judith Road, Emmarentia and then walk across to the entrance. Hikers must be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Children must be over six years old. Sorry, no dogs allowed. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies.
