Saying goodbye to the Driehoek victims the right way
Krugersdorp CPF and community wanted to say goodbye to the children from Driehoek in fitting way.
Community Policing Forum members, QRS emergency services, Apcan Security, community members and many others got together on Friday 15 February to commemorate the learners who died in the recent Hoërskool Driehoek tragedy.
The vigil at Krugersdorp High School started with prayer and the singing of the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence.
Everyone lit a candle and sang.

Pastor Charles Butler who spoke to the crowd said he wanted to encourage everyone to remember the children who lost their lives and who are still recovering.
He said that many people have struggles but if we trust in the Lord, everything we go trough will make sense in the end. We will be filled with joy and peace if we give Him our troubles and trust in Him.
He added that everything happens for a reason and that the community must look after each other.
Sharday van den Berg, one of the organisers then thanked the Sector 3, 4 and 5 CPF members for always standing together.
