Kagiso Secondary School receives new facilities

Kagiso Secondary School took delivery of newly built facilities on Friday 15.

The Gauteng Premier, David Makhura, and the MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, visited the Kagiso Secondary School in March.

The school received a brand new assembly hall, nutrition centre, consumer studies centre, a sports field. and a science lab which will enhance learning and teaching processes with its new computerised system.

Makhura explained that the reason they are investing in the school is because it contributes to a high matric pass rate.

Makhura said, “The best investment that any country can make is in education.”

Lesufi advised the students and community members to take care of the facilities and not to show their grievances by vandalising the school during protests.

Lesufi said, “We are not building these facilities for you to vandalise, it is your duty to take care of them and use them for the intended purposes.”

Lesufi said they are also adding new programmes in all schools throughout Gauteng that will give learners a wider career choice after they finish their matric year.
