Curro to represent SA in the World Map Competition

Curro Krugersdorp’s Hayden Rengasamy, Gabriella Sacks and Jenna Westermeyer's beautiful map paintings will represent South Africa internationally in the World Map Competition.

Curro Krugersdorp often gives its learners the opportunity to participate in a wide array of alternative competitions that they might not be used to.

Learners were invited to participate in this year’s Barbara Petchenik Children’s World Map Competition. This very interesting event was first created by the International Cartographic Association, and is held every two years.

Participating countries first compete nationally, and the winner’s creations go on to the 29th International Cartographic Conference from 15 July in Tokyo.

Hayden Rengasamy, Gabriella Sacks and Jenna Westermeyer’s beautiful map paintings were chosen to represent South Africa internationally.
