Hekpoort Police welcome their new station commander
The Hekpoort Police have a new station commander who says she believes in teamwork and wants to get the community involved.
The Hekpoort Police are proud to welcome their new station commander, Captain Kgomotso Manthata.
Captain Manthata joined the police in 1995 and completed her police training at Hammanskraal College.
She continued with her field training at the Roodepoort Police Station and worked at the Carletonville Police Station for seven years.

“She even secured a number of convictions while she was working as an investigating officer at the Carletonville and Westonaria Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit,” said a statement from Constable Gloria Maswanganye, spokesperson for the Hekpoort Police.
In Westonaria, she worked with the Economic Crimes Team until the West Rand District Commissioner, Major General PF Kekana, appointed her to serve as the station commander of the Hekpoort Police.
She officially reported to her new post on 4 July. She said she believes in teamwork to make sure all roles and responsibilities are met.
“The community and the police must come together and discuss ideas in order to make Hekpoort a safer environment to live in, not only for themselves, but for visitors as well. My door is always open for anyone to voice their concerns,” said Manthata.
