Celebrate History
20 JULY —The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host an event to celebrate its history at 62 Paul Kruger Street, Monument. Entrance is free to the public. Come find out about your family history, and the history of the Chapel. Children will enjoy discovering an ‘archaeological find’ hidden somewhere in their garden, plus mini-wagon rides from 10am to 2pm. Also tour the free improvement programmes on offer – from Bible study, to international university modules. The public is also invited to share the history of any of Krugersdorp’s historic buildings to become part of their historic Google tour of the town’s heritage. Mullies hou Karnaval
20 JULIE — Laerskool Muldersdrif hou karnaval om hul 110de verjaardag te vier. Dit gaan ‘n groot pretdag met talle stalletjies, lekker kos en ‘n neon-pretdraf wees. Die karnaval skop om 9vm af en die vermaak vir die dag sluit in die Afrikaanse popgroep Mwah, en sangers Greunen Parker, Linda Killian en Michael Tushki. 24 JULY — The Horticultural Society invites you to a talk by Ben-Erik van Wyk on useful plants at The Floreum, Joburg Botanic Garden in Olifants Road, Emmarentia. Please use the northern entrance. Members pay R20 and visitors R30 which includes refreshments. For enquiries, call 082 951 1432.
