On his way to Kagiso royalty
Mr and Ms Kagiso is in full swing, and nearing the finals, and the Top 3's Mzwakhe Bolotina has strong hopes of winning it all.
Will the next Mr Kagiso be the 16-year-old Mzwakhe Bolotina from Mosupatsela High School? When you talk to the young man, and he explains with confidence why he’ll be the top pick in the end, you might be convinced as well.
It’s all part of the game to do as much community work as possible as the contestants of this pageant progress on their road to the top. For Mzwakhe, this was the first time he was exposed to charity but he took to it like a duck to water. Soon he was doing all he could to become involved in any project which came his way, all while still doing his homework and studying for exams.
“I started young because I wanted to be the voice of the voiceless. I always see people in our community struggle. I see what they go through and that, sometimes, they don’t have hope. I want to do more to help and give them hope where I can. Being Mr Kagiso will bring me the opportunity to do that,” Mzwakhe said.
He also explained that his main objective and life’s drive is to stand up for LGBTQI rights, to become an activist who stands at the forefront in the fight for equal rights and acceptance.
Recently, he was placed among the Top 3 finalists for the Mr and Ms Kagiso pageant, and will have to work hard to prove himself before the winner is crowned early in November.
