Christmas Market
2 NOVEMBER — It’s time for the annual Christmas Market at Gateway Village on Van Dalen Street South from 9am until 2pm. Please support them in their quest to raise funds for the intellectually disabled adults in their care. There will be live entertainment with Sonel and Friends, Candida and her Belly Dancers, fun games for the kiddies, stalls selling delicious food, baked goods, books galore, clothing, ornaments and much, much more. Boeredans
2 NOVEMBER — Die Tradisionele Boeremusiekklub aan die Wes-Rand hou ‘n lekker Boeredans in die Witpoortjie Ontspanningsentrum, op die hoek van Suid- en Vermootenstraat, Princess, Roodepoort. Die deure open om 4.30nm en verrigtinge begin om 5nm. Bring eie mandjie met eet- en drinkgoedjies saam. Toegang is R60 per persoon en skoolgaande kinders het gratis toegang. Colour Run/ Walk
2 NOVEMBER — The WAS Foundation is hosting a colour run/ walk of 3,2km and 6,4km from 11am at 15 Dorothy Road in Heuningklip. Come support this worthy cause in aid of their feeding project. Cost per adult is R100 and children 12 and under pay R50. There will be food and drink stalls available. For more information, contact Melissa on 073 610 7490.
Ngwenya Country Market
3 NOVEMBER — The Market, situated at Ngwenya Glass Village in Muldersdrift, celebrated its third birthday in August, and has been a remarkably successful venture for the two organisers, Viv Prettejohn and Tina Berti. Visitors from all over the country come along, looking forward to a day of fun in the sun, the fabulous music and the delicious food and cocktails. The vibe is always magical! There are many dedicated and talented vendors showcasing their wares. You’ll find a huge variety of food and drinks stalls and lovely displays of decorative gifts, jewellery, body products and clothes. Children are well catered for and the market is pet friendly.
