‘We fully abide with pride’
The News' journos passed their course with flying colours!
News journalists Jaco Human and Natasha Pretorius recently passed a course presented by Ombudkonsult on understanding and correctly applying the South African Press Code.
The two-month course, which was a strenuous outline of the SA Press Code, enables Jaco and Natasha to abide fully by the Code and also commit themselves to being firm representatives of the Code. News editor Janine Viljoen is extremely proud of her two journos for passing with flying colours and for being true ambassadors of the Press Code.
“Now more than ever, it is clear that the News practices free and fair journalism and reporting, and for that I am very proud because we take the Press Code very seriously and will also gladly hold ourselves accountable if ever being in contravention of it.”
