EGL has played an active role in grading and certification for diamonds since 1980. Its College of Gemmology plays a vital role in the education of diamond grading. EGL’s services are recognized throughout the world and they have been an integral part of the diamond industry. EGL’s credentials and grading standards was accepted with open arms by dealers and factories, allowing the company to quickly become a major supplier to the industry in South Africa.
