“After an employee and security guard tested positive for Covid-19, the Licensing Centre was closed immediately so that the premises and other possibly affected areas could be decontaminated and deep-cleaned,” the centre noted.

“After engaging the Department of Health, it is now confirmed that operations can only commence on Friday, 72 hours after closure, in line with the department’s Covid-19 protocols.”

The centre has requested the public to consider using another open licensing and testing centre in the interim.

Individuals who had standing appointments for learner and driving licence tests, licence renewals and professional driving permits will be contacted to arrange alternative dates.
