Millies promotes two of its teachers to HODs

Millies recently appointed two new heads of department.

The team at Laerskool Millennium Primary can now boast with two of their educators being promoted to head of department positions.

The two educators took up their new positions on Tuesday, 1 September. Genene Viljoen was appointed as Head of Academics, and Gerhard Scholtz is the new head of Asset Management.

Genene who has been part of Millies for eight years said she would like to implement more practical learning opportunities for the learners and improve parental involvement.

Gerhard, who has been with the school for the past three years said, “First of all, it is an honour to be appointed as Head of Department at Millies and I’m striving to do my duties to the best of my abilities. I’m also encouraged and motivated by Millies’ school motto, ‘Lewe in die Lig’ (Live in the Light) and also to work together as one team united.”

The school wished them all the best in their new roles.
