Rand Water issues affect more areas

Earlier, water issues from Rand Water has now spilled over from Mogale City to the City of Johannesburg.

Rand Water said the water problems they are currently experiencing are now spilling over to the City of Johannesburg.

In a statement by Rand Water’s Justice Mohale, he explained they are currently experiencing operational challenges which have resulted in areas of the Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) and the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality being affected.

“Our technical teams are currently on the ground investigating the cause of the interruption.”

The statement said these areas are currently affected in the MCLM area:
• Kenmare
• Kenmare South
• Noordheuwel
• Krugersdorp CBD
• Lewisham
• Wentworth Park
• Monument
• Rant-en-Dal
• Chancliff
• Dan Pienaarville
• Munzieville
• Silverfields
• Boltonia

Areas currently affected in the City of Johannesburg:

  •  Coronationville
  • Sophiatown
  • Westbury
  • Mayfair
  • Vrededorp
  • Westdene
  • Auckland Park
  • Brixton
  • Hursthill
  • Crosby
  • Horison (complaints received from readers)
  • Roodepoort CBD (complaints received from readers)
