This week’s Covid-19 battle plan in Mogale City

The Gauteng Health Department will continue providing pop-up sites for health screening from June 28 to July 2. Here is where they will be in Mogale City.

The Gauteng Health Department plans to continue their ‘battle plan’ which involves testing for Covid-19 this week.

Last week these teams screened 5 585 people and tested 1 830 at their pop-up testing stations. Apart from testing and screening for Covid-19 the teams also tested 3 035 people for HIV and screened 4 160 for hypertension, of which three were referred to the clinic for further management after presenting with elevated blood pressure.

The teams screened and tested 3 973 people for diabetes, and referred three to the clinic. They also distributed 85 000 condoms and visited 182 bereaved families to enforce compliance with non-pharmaceutical Covid-19 interventions.

If you missed the pop-up clinics last week, don’t worry because the battle plan will continue this week. If you would like to get tested for Covid-19 or make use of any other services offered you can visit them from June 28 to July 2 at these sites.
