Police target illegal liqour outlets, seize lots of dagga

The police spent their Sunday knocking on the doors of suspected criminals, and in the process uncovered a few interesting things.

Kagiso Police are appealing to residents to stay out of trouble as they will have no mercy with lawbreakers.

These are the words of Kagiso Police spokesperson, Captain Solomon Sibiya after members spent Sunday, August 15 knocking on every door where suspicious criminal activities had been reported.

Alcohol was also confiscated during the door to door searches. Photo submitted.

They also conducted searches at these addresses, and the Kagiso Detectives traced suspects.

“During such disruptive and vigorous searches, large amounts of dagga were uncovered at the Madala hostel, as well as liquor at illegal outlets in the township.”

Sibiya said these disruptive searches were directed at street corners where drug users and peddlers are said to hang out.
