Eskom will again implement load reduction from 17:00 to 22:00 on Thursday, April 28 affecting several West Rand areas.
Regarding Mogale City, load reduction is scheduled for Kagiso and Rietvallei. Other West Rand areas to be affected include Bekkersdal in Rand West City as well as Khutsong in Carletonville.
Eskom said in a statement that load reduction is necessary to avoid network overloading in high-density areas.
During the load-reduction implementation, customers are urged to switch off all of their electrical appliances to avoid possible damage due to power surges when supply returns. Failure to do so may lead to transformer trips or failures, and damage to household appliances when supply is restored. Please do not report this outage.
